This article aims to reflect on an approximation between the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and the Female Empowerment as a possibility for the women who participate in this movement to be able to increase and solidify their space in the movement and, consequently, in society. For that, it brings a reflection on the ESS with its singularities, its management models with its own logic, that is concerned with valuing the social within the economic activity. The idea of female empowerment through social, political and psychological dimensions can be understood as an instrument for transforming the role of women within the ESS. The ESS movement and women’s empowerment come closer with clear principles of equity, which could help empower the women involved in the movement. The approach, therefore, seeks to conjecture about a possibility to offer entrepreneur women a more coherent perspective with the proposals of the SSE.Keywords: social and solidarity economy, genre, female empowerment.||Este artigo objetiva refletir sobre uma aproximação entre a Economia Social e Solidária (ESS) e o Empoderamento Feminino como possibilidade para as mulheres participantes desse movimento conseguir aumentar e solidificar seu espaço no movimento e, consequentemente, na sociedade. Para isso, traz uma reflexão sobre a ESS com suas singularidades, seus modelos de gestão com lógicas próprias, que se preocupa em valorizar o social dentro da atividade econômica. A ideia de empoderamento feminino, por meio das dimensões sociais, políticas e psicológicas, pode ser entendida como um instrumento na transformação do papel da mulher dentro da ESS. O movimento da ESS e o empoderamento feminino se aproximam de forma mais nítida com princípios claros de equidade, que poderão auxiliar no empoderamento das mulheres do movimento. A aproximação, portanto, busca conjecturar sobre uma possibilidade de oferecer às mulheres dos empreendimentos uma perspectiva mais coerente com as propostas da ESS.Palavras-chave: economia social e solidária, gênero, empoderamento feminino.
