Neste artigo, temos como objetivo analisar a articulação entre arte, política e religião a partir de uma investigação sobre os sentidos atribuídos por diferentes atores aos grafites, estêncis e murais que formam uma paisagem motivacional no Rio de Janeiro no contexto das Olimpíadas 2016. Discursos, imagens e legislações conformam as situações a partir das quais propomos esta análise, tendo sido sistematizadas no âmbito de projetos de pesquisa em andamento financiados com recursos do CNPq e da Universidade Federal Fluminense. Foram realizadas entrevistas com grafiteiros e com representantes da prefeitura e em uma cartografia das produções presentes, principalmente, na Zona Sul do Rio de Janeiro. O recorte da pesquisa cobrindo grafites e outras intervenções principalmente na Zona Sul se justifica pela importância que esse território da cidade assume politicamente para a projeção externa desse “espírito carioca”, sobretudo, no contexto olímpico.Palavras-chave: grafite, política, representações urbanas, religião.||The objective of this article is to analyze the meanings attributed by different actors to graffiti, stencils and murals that form a motivational landscape in Rio de Janeiro in the context of the 2016 Olympics. Speeches, images and legislation conform the situations from which we propose this analysis having been systematized in ongoing research projects funded by CNPq and the Universidade Federal Fluminense. Interviews were carried out with graffiti artists and representatives of the city council and a cartography of the productions present, mainly in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The cut of the survey covering graffiti and other interventions mainly in the South Zone is justified by the importance that this territory of the city assumes politically for the external projection of this “Carioca spirit”, especially in the Olympic context.Keywords: graffiti, politics, urban representations, religion.
