Este artigo tem como objeto a alegria em Tutameia: terceiras estórias. É a simpatia de João Guimarães Rosa por ela que também está em causa nas reflexões tão fundamentais sobre o humor do primeiro prefácio, “Aletria e hermenêutica”. O humor pode ser pensado como meio de influir a alegria tutameica e, simultaneamente, como uma das formas em que ela se manifesta. Sob o viés do autor mineiro, a alegria é fruto de certa hermenêutica, de um exercício de interpretação da realidade, compreendida, por sua vez, como visceralmente contraditória. Em eterna invenção no interior do sujeito, a alegria é empreendimento, risco, proeza. Angústia-que-ri, dá sinal de si sempre a partir de uma profunda consciência do absurdo.||This present paper focuses on the matter of joy in ‘Tutameia: third stories’. It is João Guimarães Rosas’s empathy for it which also motivates the fundamental reflections on humour from the first preface, ‘Aletria and hermeneutics’. Humour can be thought of as a means of inducing ‘tutameic joy’ and, simultaneously, as one of the ways in which joy manifests itself. Accordingly to the author’s point of view, joy comes from a certain hermeneutics; from an exercise of interpreting reality, understood in turn as intrinsically contradictory. In an everlasting invention within the subject, joy is enterprise, risk and prowess. Laughing-anguish, always reveals itself from a deep sense of the absurd.
