The present work was developed with the purpose of analyzing, even in a short period of time when the “I am a Student, I am a Citizen” Project was implemented in the Monte Alegre neighborhood, in the city of Camboriu/SC, through the 1st Company of the 12th Military Police Battalion, and its reflexes, resulting from the preventive actions, based on the proximity police, in compliance with the universal principle of the dignity of the human person, allied with the doctrine of integral protection provided constitutional and infraconstitutionally in the Brazilian legal system, through the concretization of effective public policies and partnership work, especially between the local Military Police and the school community. The project’s premise ended in the paradigm shift as to the proximity police actions in the school environment, by the Military Police and students of elementary school who are, in the great majority, inserted in a context / reality of victimization or directly / indirectly probed by marginality, due to the social vulnerability of that community. For a better understanding of the subject, the dignity of the human person was studied as constitutional protection of the developing people, passing through the public policies of protection and guaranteeing the integral protection, and fnalizing an analysis of the results of the already referenced project.||O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de analisar, mesmo que num curto espaço de tempo quando da implementação do Projeto "Sou Estudante, Sou Cidadão", implementado no Bairro Monte Alegre, no município de Camboriú/SC, através da 1ª Companhia do 12º Batalhão de Polícia Militar, e seus reflexos, decorrente das ações preventivas, calcadas pela polícia de proximidade, na observância ao princípio universal da dignidade da pessoa humana, aliada a doutrina de proteção integral disposta constitucional e infraconstitucionalmente no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, através da concretização de políticas públicas efetivas e num trabalho de parceria, em especial, entre a Polícia Militar local e a comunidade escolar. A premissa do projeto findou-se na quebra de paradigma quanto as ações de polícia de proximidade no ambiente escolar, por parte da Polícia Militar e estudantes do ensino fundamental que encontram-se, na grande maioria, inseridas em um contexto/realidade de vitimização ou direta/indiretamente sondadas pela marginalidade, por conta da vulnerabilidade social daquela comunidade. Para uma melhor compreensão da matéria, estudou-se a dignidade da pessoa humana como tutela constitucional das pessoas em desenvolvimento, transpassando pelas políticas públicas tuteladoras e garantidoras da proteção integral e, finalizando quanto uma análise dos resultados decorrentes do já referenciado projeto.
