O presente trabalho analisa o papel da Bioética frente à engenharia genética de melhoramento. Para tanto, investiga quais os problemas morais envolvendo a possibilidade dos paisescolherem as características genéticas dos flhos. Por último, propõe uma reflexão sobre obem em jogo e reivindica uma responsabilidade moral, para explicar e fundamentar o biodireito. A pesquisa demonstra a necessidade de diálogo racional entre pessoas livres, para queos valores e princípios bioéticos não expressem apenas a vontade dos cientistas, ou do Estado.||This paper analyzes the bioethic role in genetic engineering improvement. Therefore, it examines which are the moral problems involving the possibility some parentshave to choose genetic characteristics of their children. Finally, this work proposesa reflection about the good in question and claims a moral responsability to explainand substantiate the biolaw. The research demonstrates the need of rational dialoguebetween free people in order to avoid that bioethics values and principles be expressedonly by scientists or State will.
