ABSTRACT: This article proposes to study the fictional children's production of Sylvia Orthof, from the perspective of fantasy, which, in her work, is associated with diverse stylistic, structural aspects and concepts such as nonsense, unusual and fantastic. It starts with the assumption that Sylvia Orthof's work is conducive to a magical construction of reality, according to the subjective universe of children's imagination.
KEYWORDS: Children's literature, Sylvia Orthof, fantasy, children's imagination.||RESUMO: Este artigo propõe estudar a produção ficcional infantil de Sylvia Orthof, sob a perspectiva da fantasia, que, em sua obra, manifesta-se associada a aspectos estilísticos e estruturais diversos, que se traduzem por conceitos como os de nonsense, insólito e fantástico. Parte-se do pressuposto de que a obra de Sylvia Orthof é particularmente propícia a uma construção mágica da realidade, de acordo com o universo subjetivo do imaginário infantil.
