This essay intends to investigate some aspects related to the resignification of lived experience in the movie O jardineiro fiel by Fernando Meirelles, mainly observing time manipulation that reconstruct experience (W. Benjamin). At the same time our purpose is to observe strategies involved in difference perception, both as uneasiness and fascination, in the couple's life and in the relathionship with the African "Other", taking into acccount the regimes of focusing.||Este ensaio pretende investigar aspectos da ressignificação do vivido em O jardineiro fiel, de Fernando Meirelles, observando as manipulações de tempo (G. Genette) que reconstroem a experiência (W. Benjamin). Ao mesmo tempo, observaremos as estratégias de percepção da diferença enquanto mal-estar e fascínio, na vida do casal protagonista e na relação com o Outro africano, atentando para os regimes de focalização.
