The study of relationships among art, Africa and Brazil can be linked to the contemporary demand for the production of a "world art history". So, from connections between "Afro-Brazilian art" and "global art history", the text articulates works of authors who have contributed to thinking challenges, ideas, practices and achievements in this fertile field of art historiography in contemporaneity.Keywords: Global Art History; Art historiography; African-Brazilian art||O estudo de relações entre arte, África e Brasil pode ser vinculado à demanda contemporânea pela produção de uma “história da arte mundial”.
