Models and frameworks of explanation that have been largely shared by historians since the sixties seem to vanish these last ten years. This article examines the new approaches which try to recapture the role of individuals in the establishment of social links, displacing the object of history: instead of structures, rationalities and strategies used by communities and families to achieve their aims. The fact that historians are increasingly aware of the narrative character of history also shakes old beliefs. Doubts, challenges and proposals of history today are the main issues of this article.||Modelos e quadros explicativos que foram amplamente partilhados pelos historiadores desde os anos 60 parecem ter desaparecido nos últimos dez anos. Este artigo examina as novas abordagens que tentam recuperar o papel do indivíduo no estabelecimento de vínculos sociais descentrando o objeto da história: ao invés de estruturas, racionalidades e estratégias usadas por comunidades e famílias para atingirem seus objetivos. O fato dos historiadores estarem crescentemente atentos com relação ao caráter narrativo também mexe com velhas crenças. Dúvidas, desafios e propostas da história hoje são os principais pontos deste artigo.
