The essay “Dialética da malandragem” will be appreciated in the collation to reading the novel Memórias de um sargento de milícias. To do so, there will be a contrast to two distinct perspectives: one which is the reading of Roberto Schwarz about the text by Antonio Candido, while the other meets of Joaquim Nabuco pronouncements on slave memory and on the civil service, whose focus lights on the ambiance of the novel and is raised the social representation of Brazil.||
