The aim of this article is to study the novel Uma aprendizagem ou o Livro dos Prazeres (1969), by Clarice Lispector, through the interpretation of the myth of Afroditis in visual language conveyed by the author in an effort to restore a sensorial aspect of the language, recover the power of Eros as a force of resistance to the taming of language and individuals in society, in order to redefine the terms of the human in its relation to the divine and the inhuman.
