In 2002 a redesign ocurred in the light characteristics of some Architectural Works in Brasilia by the partnership Niemeyer (1907-2012) and Gasper (1940-2014). This study investigates the similarities between this light expression and the particularities of the German expressionist cinema of the early 20th century. Light and shadow, contrast and similarity are data that we will observe in Gasper's lighting projects. Photographs and interviews helped to understand the circumstances that consolidated his work and his luminous intentions in Niemeyer´s work.||Uma reformulação nas características lumínicas em algumas obras arquitetônicas em Brasília iniciou-se em 2002 pela parceria Niemeyer (1907-2012) e Gasper (1940-2014). Este estudo investiga as semelhanças entre essa expressão lumínica com as particularidades do cinema expressionista alemão do início século XX. Luz e sombra, contraste e semelhança são dados que vamos observar nos projetos de iluminação de Gasper. Fotografias e entrevistas auxiliaram a compreensão das circunstancias que consolidaram sua obra e suas intenções lumínicas nas obras de Niemeyer.
