This study aims to explore the the problems on missing or unidentified portraits of sixteenth century as representing Anne Boleyn, Queen of England (1533 - 1536), through the case study of the portrait of Lady Bergavenny, who was recently found by the british writer Alison Weir in a sales site, which was released as a lost portrait of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII (1491-1547). For this discussion, it will be used four versions of the portrait of Lady Bergavenny available on the websites of The Lewis Walpole Library, the British Museum and the National Portrait Gallery, as well as a copy published in the online newspaper Daily Mail.
||Este trabalho tem como objetivo explorar os problemas de identificação de retratos perdidos ou não identificados do século XVI como representando Ana Bolena, rainha da Inglaterra (1533 ”“ 1536), através do estudo de caso do retrato de Lady Bergavenny, que recentemente foi encontrado pela escritora britânica Alison Weir em um site de vendas e que foi divulgado como sendo um retrato perdido de Ana Bolena, a segunda esposa de Henrique VIII (1491 - 1547). Para essa discussão, serão utilizadas quatro versões do retrato de Lady Bergavenny, disponíveis nos sites da The Lewis Walpole Library, do British Museum e da National Portrait Gallery, assim como a cópia publicada no jornal online Daily Mail.
