Museums, generally thought of as places of the past, also manifest themselves as home to the future. This is the theme of our article: thinking about the relationships between museums and the ways we imagine, feel or fear the future. It is about mapping the images of the future in museums and, on the other hand, understanding how such an institution operates as a temporal dispositive, a machine of the time to come. To this end, we have moved back to modern museums - a moment when progress finds in the birth of museums conditions to become stronger.
