In the sculptures of the Solar Monjardim Museum in Victory, ES, there are common ornaments of the Brazilian Sacred Art. A technical and stylistic analysis of these parts questions the ornament and the ornamentation (BONNE, 1996) in the uses and functions of the vestments in the Christian imaginary in the History of Art (TREXLER, 1991). The similarity of these “capixaba” sculptures with some Brazilian parts indicates their double origin: from Portugal and Brazil. Thereby, we hope to contribute to the disclosure of this collection at National and international levels, creating positive impacts to its preservation.||Nas esculturas do Museu Solar Monjardim em Vitória (ES), há ornamentos comuns aos da arte sacra brasileira. Uma análise técnica e estilística dessas peças questiona o ornamento e a ornamentação (BONNE, 1996) nos usos e funções das vestes nas imaginárias cristãs na história da arte (TREXLER, 1991). A semelhança dessas esculturas capixabas com algumas peças brasileiras indica sua dupla procedência: de Portugal e do Brasil. Com isso, esperamos contribuir para a divulgação desse acervo em níveis nacional e internacional, gerando impactos positivos para a sua preservação.
