The years after the military coup in Brazil were marked by the intensification of the critical debate until the moment when institutional repression almost annihilated the possibility of normalized exercise of artistic activity and art criticism. In fact, Brazilian art begins to operate in a new regime whose differential element would be the performance of the art market and the international circuit as validators of the importance of the artistic tradition; It is in this scenario that we have thereflections of Morais on the place of the symbolic production in Brazil with the world reordering of the capitalist system.||Os anos pós-Golpe Militar no Brasil foram marcados pela intensificação do debate crítico até o momento em que a repressão institucional quase aniquilou a possibilidade de exercício normalizados da atividade artística e da crítica de arte. De fato, a arte brasileira passa a operar em novo regime cujo elemento diferencial seria a atuação do mercado de artes e do circuito internacional como validadores da importância da tradição artística; é nesse cenário que temos as reflexões de Morais sobre o lugar da produção simbólica no Brasil de reordenamento mundial do sistema capitalista.
