This article investigates the political paths of leaders of the Paraná Conservative Party in the years following the fall of the Empire. There are three arguments sustained in the present work. First, it is shown that the leaders of the Conservative Party of Paraná, at the time of the establishment of the Republic, were politically split. The change of political regime occurred in a time of instability in the internal life of the party. The second argument recognizes that the conservatives who belonged to the last board of the association remained as allies in the years after 1889. The alliance with the historic republicans was crucial in gaining prominent positions in the political institutions and the new parties. The third argument states that, in the First Republic, dissenting conservatives did not hold together. The trajectories of this group of coreligionists were marked by low electoral competitiveness and rapid passage through regional parties.||Neste artigo é desenvolvida uma investigação sobre os percursos políticos de lideranças do Partido Conservador paranaense nos anos seguintes à queda do Império. Há três argumentos sustentados no presente trabalho. Primeiro, é demonstrado que os próceres do Partido Conservador do Paraná, ao tempo da implantação da República, estavam politicamente cindidos. A mudança de regime político ocorreu em uma época de instabilidade na vida interna da grei. O segundo argumento reconhece que os conservadores que pertenceram à última diretoria da agremiação permaneceram como aliados nos anos posteriores a 1889. A aproximação com os republicanos históricos foi crucial para que conquistassem posições de relevo nas instituições políticas e nos novos partidos. O terceiro argumento afirma que, na Primeira República, os conservadores dissidentes não se mantiveram unidos. As trajetórias dessa parcela de correligionários foram marcadas pela baixa competitividade eleitoral e por breves passagens pelos partidos estaduais.
