Resumo
O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar os elementos das figuras de Nun’Álvares e D. João I elaborados por Fernão Lopes na Crónica de D. João I, com base na literatura arturiana, em especial a ligação entre D. Nuno e Galaaz, inspirada no romance de cavalaria A Demanda do Santo Graal. D. Nuno é um representante do cavaleiro cristão e do modelo de nobre desejado pela dinastia de Avis: fiel, obediente e submisso ao rei.

Abstract
This paper aims to present the elements of the images of Nun’ Álvares and John I, of Portugal, elaborated by Fernão Lopes in his Chronicle of John, based in the Arthurian literature, more specifically on the connection between Nuno and Galahad, inspired in the chivalry romance The Quest for the Holy Grail. Nuno is an example of the Christian knight and the model of nobility desired by the Avis’ Dinasty: faithful, obedient and submissive to the king.
