This article seeks to draw a conceptual and operational line related to a transformation project of the extensive industrial and railway park in Tamanduateí Valley in the state of Sao Paulo. The singularity of its structure, form and landscape (alternating and exchanging free and constructed spaces, textures, granula- tions and intensities, figure and background) is a condition of possibility for the construction of a urbanism in the frontier between a building and the city.||O presente artigo procura traçar uma linha conceitual e operativa acerca de um projeto de transformação do extenso parque industrial e ferroviário do vale do Tamanduateí em São Paulo. A singularidade da estrutura, da forma e da paisagem do território em pauta (que alterna e intercambia espaços livres e construídos, texturas, granulações e intensidades, figura e fundo) constitui condição de possibilidade para a construção de um urbanismo na fronteira entre edifício e cidade.
