The celebrations of the Holy Divine Spirit in Pirenópolis, Goiás, integrates the Book of Celebrations’ Register of the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN) since 2010, being the second celebration recognized by this Autarchic Institute. Been incorporated into the history of the place for more than two centuries, the Holy Divine Spirit Festival has its dynamic of production and cultural reproduction that makes it an invaluable asset manifested in religiosity and maintenance of the traditions from Pirenópolis. With an infinity of rituals and characters that contribute to its perpetuation, our objective is to discuss the new confrontations of the festive cycle in the face of new sociability standards imposed in this year of 2020. Therefore, the following dilemma is proposed as a problem: how a festivity with such dimensions as the Holy Divine Spirit Festival adapted to the exceptional context of this year? There were two paths in the attempt to answer, the bibliographic research, in which we highlight contributions by Brandão (1974, 1978), Silva (2001), Maia (2002), Lôbo (2006) among others; as for the year 2020, the field was carried out through participatory research (BRANDÃO, 2006), which brought the observations that enabled current reflections from community's experience of people from Pirenópolis. The results, especially in the fieldwork made it possible to understand the continuity of the Festival, even if adapting to meet the new requirements of the current context, demonstrating that the old traditions remain, even when they are forced to adapt (GIDDENS, 2003).||Os festejos do Divino Espírito Santo em Pirenópolis, Goiás, compõem o Livro de Registro das Celebrações, do Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN) desde 2010, sendo a segunda celebração reconhecida por esta autarquia. Incorporada à história do lugar a mais de dois séculos, a Festa do Divino tem uma dinâmica própria de produção e reprodução cultural popular que faz desta um bem de valor inestimável manifestada na religiosidade e na manutenção das tradições pirenopolinas. Com uma infinidade de rituais e personagens que concorreram para sua perpetuação nosso objetivo é discutir os novos enfrentamentos do ciclo festivo diante de novos padrões de sociabilidades impostos neste ano de 2020, para tanto propõem-se como problema o seguinte dilema: como uma festa das dimensões da Festa do Divino se adaptou ao contexto excepcional do corrente ano? Dois foram os caminhos na tentativa de respostas, a pesquisa bibliográfica, na qual destacamos contribuições de Brandão (1974, 1978), Silva (2001), Maia (2002), Lôbo (2006) dentre outros; para o ano de 2020 a o campo foi realizado por meio da pesquisa participativa (BRANDÃO, 2006), que trouxe as observações que possibilitaram reflexões atuais a partir da vivência e experiência da comunidade pirenopolina. Os resultados, em especial do trabalho de campo propiciou entender a continuidade da festa, mesmo que se adaptando para atender as novas exigências do contexto atual, demonstrando que as antigas tradições permanecem, mesmo quando são obrigadas a se adaptarem (GIDDENS, 2003).
