This work aims to understand the use of life stories in the news coverage of the covid-19 pandemic in Brazil. To this end, it was decided to analyze the obituaries of the victims of the pandemic during the month of June in the “Those we lost” section of the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper. Through the French Discourse Analysis, we seek to understand how these reports reconstructed as trajectory characters and how the victims of the pandemic were portrayed by the country's main daily newspaper.||Este trabalho visa compreender a utilização das histórias de vidas na cobertura jornalística da pandemia de covid-19 no Brasil. Para tanto, optou-se por analisar obituários das vítimas da pandemia publicados durante o mês de junho na seção “Aqueles que perdemos” do jornal Folha de S. Paulo. Por intermédio da Análise de Discurso de linha francesa, buscamos compreender de que maneira esses relatos reconstruíram as trajetórias dessas personagens e como as vítimas da pandemia foram retratados pelo principal jornal diário do país.
