This article intends to reflect on the theme of heritage education, considering the reality of the performance of the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of University of São Paulo (MAE-USP). For this purpose, the article presents some theoretical and methodological questions about the relation between heritage education, archaeology and museology. Finally, it reflects on a recently approved project of our institution which includes the use of the principles of heritage education from tactile models of Brazilian archaeological sites.||O presente artigo tem a intenção de refletir a respeito do tema da educação patrimonial, levando-se em conta a realidade de atuação do Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da Universidade de São Paulo (MAE-USP). Para tal intento, o artigo apresenta algumas questões teórico-metodológicas sobre a relação entre educação patrimonial, a arqueologia e a museologia para, finalmente, na última parte, refletir a respeito de um projeto recém-aprovado de nossa instituição que inclui a utilização dos princípios da educação patrimonial a partir de maquetes táteis de sítios arqueológicos brasileiros.
