O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a trajetória do grupo teatral Folias D’Arte a partir de três perspectivas que se complementam mutuamente: a problematização do fenômeno social reconhecido como “retomada do teatro de grupo” na segunda metade da década de 1990; a trajetória biográfica do grupo combinada com a motivação temática de alguns de seus espetáculos; a participação do grupo no movimento conhecido como Movimento de Arte Contra a Barbárie. Espera-se, então, que com esta exposição fique transparente o caráter do grupo Folias D’Arte e sua importância histórica na evolução do teatro paulista nos últimos quinze anos.||The present article aims to present the trajectory of the theatre group Folias D’Arte from three perspectives which complement each other: the problematization of a social phenomenon known as the “taking up of group theatre” in the second half of the 1990s; the biographical trajectory of the group combined to the thematic motivation of some of its works; its participation in the movement known as Art Against Barbarism. It is expected that this exposition will make clear the quality of Folias D’Arte and its historical importance in the evolution of the theatre of São Paulo in the last fifteen years.
