Considering the concept of intermediality, which has been currently adopted in reference to the old phenomenon of relating texts conceived in different semiotic systems. The present article intends to analyze the interrelation between verbal representations and the media, focusing on the subcategories of intermidiality enrolled by Irina Rajewsky – media combination, medial transposition and intermedial reference – and then questioning such division.||Partindo da conceituação de intermidialidade – termo recente usado para denominar o fenômeno antigo que trata das relações entre textos concebidos em sistemas semióticos distintos –, o ensaio pretende explorar a interrelação entre representações verbais e mídias, iniciando pelas subcategorias da intermidialidade apontadas por Irina Rajewsky – combinação de mídias, transposição (inter)midiática e referência intermidiática – e apresentar, em seguida, alguns problemas inerentes a elas.
