Esse texto tem por objetivo refletir sobre o processo de criação dos arquivos de imagem visual, particularmente, sobre a importância, nesse processo, dos filmes-testemunho. Para isso, utilizaremos como ilustração filmes que pertenceram a diferentes catástrofes históricas: a Shoah (holocausto) e a ditadura militar brasileira. A criação desses arquivos repercute na apreensão do realismo como estratégia estética recorrente e nas formas de representação que elaboram essas imagens. Por isso, o registro do real realizado através das escolhas estéticas determina o ponto de vista ético e moral e as diferentes formas de apropriação do realismo.||This paper analyzes the process of creating the visual image archive of the testimony films. In this case, we use as example films that debate different historical catastrophes: the Shoah (holocaust) and the Brazilian military dictatorship. The creation of these files affects the understanding of realism as recurrent aesthetic strategies and the forms of representation that produce these images. The record of the actual choices made through the aesthetic point of view determines the ethical and moral of the different forms of realism.
