AbstractThe parish church of Santa María Magdalena in Torrelaguna was one of the most interesting Late gothic church in the province of Madrid. But the temple is also relevant in others works that were added to this original structure as its new southern facade and the funerary chapels that were constructed at the end of the 16th century in a classical aesthetic way. One of these chapels, the Chapel of the Annunciation, was designed by the royal architect Juan de Valencia and it was covered with a dome on pendentives. This example serves to explain the routes that postescurialense architecture walked through Madrid in direct contact with the classicism focus of Valladolid. This research demostrates that some of the Escorial´s innovations –like the dome with lantern-, were nuanced by architects in relation with the design of pendentives vaults as a centralized covers.||La iglesia parroquial de Santa María Magdalena de Torrelaguna cuenta con un período de esplendor arquitectónico reflejado en su portada de los pies y en su cabecera y naves, pero el templo también es relevante por las obras que se fueron añadiendo a esta estructura original, como su nueva portada meridional y las capillas funerarias que se construyen a finales del siglo XVI con estética ya clasicista. Así, la Capilla de la Anunciación, con su espacio cupulado diseñado por el arquitecto real Juan de Valencia, sirve para explicar las vías por las que discurrió la arquitectura postescurialense en la zona madrileña en directo contacto con el foco clasicista vallisoletano.
