Orientador: Sylvia Helena Furegatti||Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes||Resumo: Este trabalho de pesquisa disserta sobre os aspectos plurais de formação artística, cultural e acadêmica do artista visual e arquiteto Marco do Valle, de forma a refletir sobre a constituição múltipla de seu trabalho, reflexo direto de sua personalidade tão marcante e complexa que reuniu 44 anos de atuação com protagonismos vários, no campo artístico, cultural e acadêmico. Dessa vasta produção, são apresentadas e analisadas obras configuradas a partir de dois grandes eixos: fixos e em fluxo, que se relacionam e/ou vascularizaram elementos da escultura tradicional em direção aos Objetos Artísticos, Instalações, Intervenções, Arte-Xerox e Vídeo-Arte. A pesquisa é composta por uma estrutura que apresenta a biografia do artista, por meio da historiografia horizontal e análises de trabalhos que se vascularizam da escultura, recorrendo ao pensamento do escultor para dissertar sobre suas estratégias criativas ou processuais. Busca-se assim produzir um levantamento de caráter inédito que segue pouco tempo depois do falecimento do artista (2018). Essa leitura propõe-se ainda a discorrer sobre os questionamentos trazidos pelo artista, sobretudo, em relação aos elementos do tempo e do espaço estudados por ele. E dessa forma, para além de homologar uma história inédita, o objetivo se estabelece nos desdobramentos que o estudo desencadeia de caráter historiográfico, crítico, curatorial ou patrimonial||Abstract: This research work discusses the plural aspects of artistic, cultural and academic formation of the visual artist and architect Marco do Valle, in order to reflect on the multiple constitution of his work, a direct reflection of his personality so striking and complex that it brought together 44 years of acting with various protagonisms, in the artistic, cultural and academic fields. From this vast production, works configured from two major axes are presented and analyzed: fixed and flowing, which relate and / or vascularize elements of traditional sculpture towards Artistic Objects, Installations, Interventions, Xerox-Art and Video-Art . The research consists of a structure that presents the artist's biography, through horizontal historiography and analyzes of works that are vascularized in sculpture, using the sculptor's thinking to talk about his creative or procedural strategies. Thus, we seek to produce a survey of an unprecedented character that follows shortly after the death of the artist (2018). This reading also proposes to discuss the questions raised by the artist, especially in relation to the elements of time and space studied by him.
