A tentativa de entender como ocorre a construção da identidade no estado do
Amapá a partir, da campanha institucional pelo sentimento de amapalidade, orienta
este trabalho. O governo atual (2009) do estado do Amapá assumiu seu primeiro
mandato em 2002, sua tônica e slogan estavam voltados ao empreendedorismo, no
intuito de valorizar as parcerias público-privadas, por iniciativa do Governo Federal.
Neste sentido, observa-se uma forte intenção institucional a fim de gerar dividendos
econômicos a partir da exploração de aspectos culturais locais. Dentro deste
contexto, a partir de 2006 as imagens das cerâmicas Maracá e Cunani ressurgem
como elementos locais com perspectivas mercadológicas, pois o Serviço Brasileiro
de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas (SEBRAE), com a intenção de fornecer
subsídios técnicos que colaborassem com o sucesso das micro e pequenas
empresas, iniciou um programa de capacitação para os empresários do setor
artesanal, com a realização de diversas oficinas, incentivando-os a promover a
construção de diferenciais que não só agregassem valor econômico a seus produtos
e/ou serviços, como possibilitassem a construção de uma identidade para seus
produtos e/ou empresas. Através da análise da publicação do SEBRAE/AP, 2006, do
jornal A Gazeta e das exposições das peças produzidas pelos artesãos que
participaram das oficinas do SEBRAE, o objetivo é compreender a utilização destas
imagens em seu contexto historiográfico (séc. XV a XVII) e também em seu contexto
contemporâneo; bem como refletir a respeito do discurso institucional produzido
sobre tais imagens, correlacionando-as com os conceitos de identidade, linguagem e
cultura visual||The attempt to understand how the construction of identity in the state of Amapá

SEBRAE / AP, 2006, The Journal A Gazeta and the exhibition of items produced by
craftsmen who participated in the workshops of SEBRAE. The goal is to understand
the use of these images in their historiographic context (XV to XVII) and also in its
contemporary context and reflect on the institutional discourse on such images
produced by correlating them with the concepts of identity, language and visual
culture
