O presente texto tem como objetivo compreender o processo de construção do conhecimento escolar na perspectiva sócio-histórica, segundo a qual o conhecimento não está pré-formado no sujeito, nem está totalmente pronto e determinado pelo meio exterior, independente da organização do indivíduo. Para isso, estruturamos o texto da seguinte forma: primeiramente enfocaremos o processo de formação das funções mentais superiores; em seguida abordaremos como se dá o processo de internalização, a relação pensamento e linguagem, o processo de formação dos conceitos, a relação aprendizagem/desenvolvimento, o papel do professor na construção do conhecimento; finalizamos trazendo discussões a respeito da zona de desenvolvimento proximal.Palavras-chave: Vygotsky. perspectiva sócio-histórica. construção do conhecimento. ABSTRACTThis paper aims to understand the construction process of school knowledge in social-historical perspective, according to which the knowledge is not preformed in the subject, nor is it fully ready and determined by the external environment, regardless of the individual organization. For this, the text was structured as follows: First, it will focus on the process of formation of higher mental functions, then it will discuss how the internalization process occurs, the relationship between thinking and language, the process of concept formation, the learning/development relation, the role of teacher in the construction of knowledge, and to close the study, discussions regarding the proximal development zone.Keywords: Vygotsky. social-historical perspective. construction of knowledge.
