A representação do materno (não) performada por artistas sergipanas da contemporaneidade

Este artigo busca apresentar os estudos realizados no âmbito do desenvolvimento da pesquisa de iniciação científica intitulada Cuidados Diários: Artistas/Mães Auto-Representando Sua Maternagem Recente, cujo plano de trabalho voltou-se ao mapeamento e discussão crítica da ocorrência (ou não) dessa autorrepresentação materna na arte produzida em Sergipe. Assim, o trabalho tem por objetivo investigar a existência dessa temática na produção teatral sergipana, levando em consideração referências históricas em âmbito internacional, para entender os movimentos e contextos que levaram à eclosão dessa temática na arte contemporânea. Através da seleção de algumas artistas sergipanas e da realização de entrevistas direcionadas, investigamos as possíveis causas para a baixa produção dessa temática no estado, além de quais seriam as principais motivações para a criação das obras de fato executadas nesta esfera. Quais são os anseios e motivações em relação a este assunto frente às demandas e desafios das carreiras artísticas dessas mulheres/artistas/mães?

AbstractThis article aims to present the studies conducted in the context of the scientific research entitled Daily Care: Artists / Mothers Self-Representing Their Recent Maternity. The work plan turned to map and to produce critical discussion about the occurrence (or not). of this maternal self-representation in the art produced in Sergipe. Thus, the work aims to investigate the existence of this theme in Sergipe´s theater production, taking into account historical references of the international scope, to understand the movements and contexts that led to the emergence of this theme in contemporary art. Throw interviewing selected women artists in this state, we investigated the possible causes for the low production of this theme, and approached the main motivations for the creation of works actually performed in this sphere. What are the desires and motivations regarding this subject in face of the demands and challenges of the artistic careers of these women / artists / mothers?
