Neste artigo pretendemos discutir em que medida o discurso modernista desenvolvido por Clement Greenberg acerca da pintura de Jackson Pollock a apresenta como uma obra refletida e metódica, sem mencionar sua dimensão corporal, discrepando de outras leituras possíveis.||In this article we intend to discuss the extent to which the modernist discourse developed by Clement Greenberg about Jackson Pollock’s painting presents it as a thoughtful and methodical work, without mentioning its bodily dimension, differing from other possible readings.
