In this article I will resume the partial results of a post-doctoral study in which one of the objectives was to analyze the presentation of the indigenous theme in exhibitions of museums located in the west of the state of São Paulo and in the north of the state of Paraná. From these partial results, I will approach the theme of cultural diversity, in a historical perspective, and reflect on indigenous collaboration in museums, bringing some examples of museums that develop collaborative actions with indigenous people in the states of São Paulo and Paraná.||Neste artigo retomarei os resultados parciais de um estudo de pós-doutoramento no qual um dos objetivos foi analisar a apresentação da temática indígena em exposições de instituições museológicas localizadas no oeste do estado de São Paulo e no norte do estado do Paraná. A partir desses resultados parciais, abordarei o tema da diversidade cultural, em uma perspectiva histórica, e farei reflexões sobre a colaboração indígena em museus, trazendo alguns exemplos de museus que desenvolvem ações colaborativas com indígenas nos estados de São Paulo e do Paraná.
