This paper presents results of a survey that focused on teachers conceptions about the relationship between education and human rights, which sought to identify the possible relationship between the theme of human rights education and the teaching of history in the direction of establishing alliances through these two fields. The viewing of these possible contacts emerges from the analysis of the National Human Rights Education, in its propositions for Basic Education, and conceptions of teachers for teaching history that seem to drive it to a privileged place for the realization of these alliances.||Este trabalho apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa que teve como foco concepções docentes acerca das relações entre educação e direitos humanos, na qual procurou-se identificar as possíveis relações existentes entre o tema da educação em direitos humanos e o ensino de história, na direção de estabelecer alianças entre esses dois campos. A visualização desses possíveis contatos surge da análise do Plano Nacional de Educação em Direitos Humanos, em suas proposições para a Educação Básica, e de concepções docentes para o ensino de história que parecem conduzi-lo a um lugar privilegiado para a realização dessas alianças.
