The spatialized images created by André Parente in his video-installations suggest the problem of vision and establish analogies to the theme as it appeared in discourses and practices from the beginning of the XIX century, with their interest in subjective vision and non-veridical perception of the world. The non- veridical perceptions in André Parente's installations, however, exclude neither the body nor the reference to present time. Those don't affirm the lie, the dream or fiction as the subjective dimension of expression in art. Parente chooses the temporal dimension of the image as source and model for today's subjectivity and vision. || As imagens espacializadas das videoinstalações de André Parente apontam para o problema da visão e estabelecem analogias com os discursos e práticas do início do século XIX, interessados na visão subjetiva e na percepção não verídica do mundo. A percepção não verídica nas instalações de André Parente, entretanto, não exclui o corpo e nem mesmo a referência do presente atual. Tampouco afirma a mentira, o sonho ou a ficção como a dimensão subjetiva para a expressão na arte. Parente opta pela dimensão temporal da imagem como a fonte e o modelo para a subjetividade e a visão na atualidade.
