This work investigates the contributions that Karl Marx and György Lukács made to the relationship between art and defetichization. The ontological foundation of art and the centrality of work category let us see art as a specific form of human production. The investigation also attends to Lukács's concept of aesthetic reflection and relevance of particularity (Besonderheit) and earthiness to elucidate defetichizing character of artworks||El trabajo indaga los aportes en torno a la relación entre arte y desfetichizcación en Karl Marx y György Lukács. La fundamentación ontológica del arte y la centralidad de la categoría del trabajo en Marx permiten comprender al arte como una forma específica de la producción humana. Se atiende, además, al concepto de reflejo estético en Lukács y la importancia de la particularidad (Besonderheit) y de terrenalidad para elucidar el carácter desfetichizante de las obras artísticas.
