This article is one of the many ways of polyphonic’s reading Italo Calvino's book: Le città invisibile. It means to travel the dialogicals chapters that open and close the narrative sequence in fact. Starting from the historical relationship Marco Polo/Kublai Khan, we interpreted the conversations of the Calvino's characters always keeping in mind the text “The Storyteller” and the “Theses” wrote by Walter Benjamin that discusses wich are the differences existents between the narrator that changes experience and the narrator of novels that is lost in himself, far way of the human contact.||Este artigo é uma das formas possíveis de leitura polifônica d'As cidades invisíveis de Italo Calvino. Isto significa percorrer os capítulos-dialógicos que abrem e fecham as sequências narrativas das cidades propriamente ditas. A partir da relação Marco Polo/Kublai Khan histórica, interpretamos os diálogos entre os personagens de Calvino tendo sempre em mente "O narrador" e as “Teses” de Walter Benjamin que discute as diferenças entre o contador de histórias que troca experiências e o narrador de romance que se segrega em si mesmo, isolando-se do contato humano.
