Neste trabalho, pretende-se discutir o papel do fazer musical criativo na educação musical, tendo em vista reconhecer ações que possam contribuir para o desenvolvimento integral do ser humano e incentivar a aquisição da autonomia. Para isso, lança-se mão de dados colhidos em recente pesquisa nacional, desenvolvida pelo GEPEM – Grupo de Estudo e Pesquisa em Educação Musical, no Instituto de Artes da UNESP – com suporte da FAPESP. O trabalho apoia-se em ideias de Murray Schafer, John Paynter e Chefa Alonso. Defende-se a importância de trabalhos que incentivam o pensar musical, associado à vivência da cultura em que o grupo está inserido. A questão do desenvolvimento do pensamento criativo tem pertinência nos dias atuais, pelas possibilidades que traz às instituições de ensino brasileiras, neste momento histórico em que, por força de Lei federal, a música torna-se componente obrigatório na educação básica. Após um lapso de mais de 40 anos e em uma época em que o mundo tem passado por profundas modificações, é necessário buscar alternativas que proporcionem ferramentas adequadas às instituições e pessoas responsáveis pela educação básica. Compreender o ensino de música como uma atividade coletiva, de caráter comunitário pode ser uma maneira interessante e, talvez, única, de dividir a responsabilidade do ensino e da aprendizagem entre os membros do grupo – a comunidade de aprendizes, que dá título a este trabalho. Esta reflexão trata de propostas que se inserem numa visão de mundo de caráter ecológico, em que a competitividade e a valorização intensa do caráter tecnicista do ensino de música cedem lugar ao respeito mútuo, ao trabalho em grupo, à divisão de responsabilidades e ao desenvolvimento integral do ser humano.||In this work, we intend to discuss the role of creative music making in music education with a view to recognizing actions that may contribute to the integral development of human beings and encourage the acquisition of autonomy. For this, we use data collected from recent national survey, developed by GEPEM - Group of Study and Research in Music Education at UNESP Arts Institute - with support by FAPESP. The work is based on Murray Schafer’s, John Paynter’s and Chefa Alonso’s ideas. We advocate the importance of works that encourage musical thinking, coupled with the experience of the culture in which the group is inserted. The issue of creative thinking development has relevance today, due to the possibilities it brings to Brazilian educational institutions, in this historical moment in which, under federal law, music becomes an obligatory component in basic education. After a lapse of over 40 years and at a time when the world has undergone profound changes, it is necessary to seek alternatives that provide adequate tools to institutions and persons responsible for basic education. To understand music education as a collective activity, community character can be an interesting way, and perhaps the only one, to share the responsibility of teaching and learning among members of the group - a community of learners, which is the title of this work. This reflection comes to proposals that are part of a world view of ecological character, in which competitiveness and intense appreciation of the technicist character of music education give way to mutual respect, to working collectively, the division of responsibilities and integral development human.
