In this work, we reflect the question: how is possible for the artist to communicate the meaning of his work? The objective is to show that this communication became possible through the conquest, by the artist, of his style. The style rises in the perception of the artist. It is, thus, the vision of world of the artist, that make visible in his works. The painting, in this way, speaks, that is, it communicates orit means, but its voice, composed by the diacriticity of colours and traces, it is still voiceof silence. Going forward with the question of the possibility to communicate the meaning of our experience of the world, we will approach the expression in its linguistic face, through the literary composition. When concluding the work, for the samediacriticity that makes with that the painting speaks, we will arriveat the silence of thelanguage in literature.||Neste trabalho, refletimos a pergunta: como é possível para o artista comunicar o sentido de sua obra? O objetivo é mostrar que esta comunicação se torna possível através da conquista, pelo artista, de seu estilo. O estilo nasce na percepção do artista. Ele é, assim, a visão de mundo do artista tornada visível em suas obras. A pintura, deste modo, fala, isto é, comunica ou significa, mas sua voz, composta pela diacriticidade de cores e traços, é ainda voz do silêncio. Com o intuito de avançar na questão da possibilidade de comunicar o sentido de nossa experiência do mundo, passaremos à expressão em sua face linguística, abordando a obra literária. Ao concluir o trabalho, pela mesma diacriticidade que faz com que a pintura fale, chegaremos ao silêncio da linguagem na literatura.
