The aspect is a complex phenomenon manifested through different linguistic resources: lexical morpheme and verb inflections, verbal periphrases and some adverbs. All these elements can interact to the emergence of a specific aspectual configuration. Studies on this subject, however, have been evolving and showing that aspect is present both in the verb and the predication and even in the discourse. The objective of this paper is to present an overview of the concept evolution from different theoretical views, considering both the lexical-semantic phase and syntactic-semantic phase, which reveals the dynamics of the interaction among the linguistic elements mentioned.||O aspecto é um fenômeno complexo que se manifesta através de diversos recursos linguísticos: morfema lexical e flexões do verbo, perífrases verbais e alguns advérbios. Todos esses elementos podem interagir para o surgimento de determinada configuração aspectual. Os estudos sobre esse tema, entretanto, vêm evoluindo e mostrando que o aspecto está presente tanto no verbo quanto na predicação e até mesmo no âmbito do discurso. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma visão panorâmica da evolução do conceito, a partir de diferentes visões teóricas, considerando tanto a fase léxico-semântica e a fase sintático-semântica, o que revela a dinamicidade da interação dos elementos linguísticos mencionados.
