In this article we intent to demonstrate the proximity between Pessoa’s literature and the first German romantic philosophy, with special emphasis on the question of romantic genius, a thematic present in F. Schlegel and Novalis fragments and in the book, The Romantic genius, written by Márcio Suzuki. Fernando Pessoa was interested in the first German romanticism,in his private library and in his archive’s documents we found records about this interest.||Pretendemos mostrar neste artigo a proximidade entre a literatura pessoana e a primeira filosofia romântica alemã, dando especial ênfase à questão do gênio romântico, tema presente nos fragmentos deixados por F. Schlegel e Novalis e trabalhado no livro, "O gênio romântico", de Márcio Suzuki. Fernando Pessoa se interessou pelo primeiro romantismo alemão, os vestígios encontrados em sua biblioteca particular e em documentos do seu espólio comprovam esse interesse.
