The purpose of this article is to point out some justifications for the writing of fiction in the research and some reasons that favored and potentiated the researches that use this resource. For this, an analysis is made of authors who situate the writing of fiction and also of researches that use it. The article argues that writing research fiction is a valid feature that opens up unique possibilities not found in traditional writing.||O objetivo deste artigo é apontar algumas justificativas para a escrita de ficção na pesquisa e alguns motivos que favoreceram e potencializaram as pesquisas que utilizam este recurso. Para isso é feita uma análise de autores que situam a escrita de ficção e também de pesquisas que a utilizam. O artigo defende que a escrita de ficção na pesquisa é um recurso válido, que abre possibilidades únicas, não encontradas na escrita tradicional.
