The present review evaluates orality marks translations in the british police novel The Cuckoo's Calling (2013), by Robert Galbraith, translated in Brazil by Ryta Vinagre, under the title O Chamado do Cuco (2013). To this end, a review is done about important theoretical aspects related to the language norm and oral variation as well as the literary representation of these forms of expression. Then, it will be analysed excerpts from the original and these excerpts will be compared to their respectives translations, and, specially, it will be evaluated the translations of orality marks.||A presente resenha tem por objetivo avaliar a tradução de marcas de oralidade no romance policial britânico The Cuckoo’s Calling (2013), de Robert Galbraith, traduzido no Brasil por Ryta Vinagre, sob o título O Chamado do Cuco (2013). Para tanto, buscar-se-á realizar uma revisão acerca de importantes aspectos teóricos concernentes à noção de norma padrão, culta e variação oral, bem como à representação literária dessas formas de expressão. Em seguida, serão analisados excertos escolhidos do original da referida obra e comparados com as suas respectivas traduções, avaliando-se em especial o tratamento concedido às marcas de oralidade.
