Este texto analisa o problema da narrativa para a História tal como aparece na historiografia prussiana do século XIX, tomando como objeto de discussão algumas proposições de Humboldt, Gervinus, Ranke e Droysen a respeito. Estes autores conferiram papel decisivo à elaboração das narrativas com os resultados do trabalho da pesquisa histórica, destacando esta dimensão muitas vezes negligenciada pelos historiadores de seu tempo. Depois de Chladenius, mas muito antes de Hayden White, Paul Ricoeur ou Lawrence Stone colocava-se a questão da urdidura do enredo, da referência ao real e da possibilidade de tropologias de representação do passado como fundamentos da escrita da História. ||This paper analyzes the problem of narrative to history as it appears in the historiography of the 19th century Prussian, taking as a discussion of some propositions Humboldt Gervinus, Ranke and Droysen it. These authors have given a decisive role in the formulation of narratives with the results of the work of historical research, highlighting this aspect often neglected by many historians of his time. After Chladenius, but long before Hayden White, Paul Ricoeur or Lawrence Stone put the issue of textual composition, the reference to the real and the possibility of tropology representation of the past as outlines for the writing of History.
