In this work, I intend to analyse the presence of myth, history and hybridism in Mário de Andrade’s novel, Macunaíma. Starting by criticizing the closed values which divide everything into pairs of opposites and create the illusion of an identity, I will highlight hybridism in its many shapes in that novel, showing the break of the national identity and the constitution of hybrid cultural subjects.||Terei como objetivo neste artigo analisar as relações entre mito, literatura e hibridismo no romance Macunaíma, de Mário de Andrade. A partir da crítica aos valores fechados que divide tudo em pares opostos e cria a ilusão de uma identidade, perceberei no romance em questão o hibridismo em suas várias formas, demonstrando a quebra da identidade cultural e a constituição de sujeitos culturais híbridos.
