Este artigo discute as representações degênero e sexualidade extraídas de revistas pedagógicas e de alguns livros que circulavamem Porto Alegre na primeira metade do século XX, os quais objetivam a formaçãode meninos e meninas, através de conselhos e prescrições de como deveriam se comportare conduzir suas vidas. Valho-me neste trabalho das contribuições dos EstudosFeministas, numa perspectiva pós-estruturalista de análise.||The article discusses gender and sexuality representations available in pedagogical journals and books widely known inPorto Alegre, at the first half of the 20th century. T hese books and journals were directed towards boys and girls education, by giving advice and setting prescriptive norms abouttheir behavior and ways of conducting their future lives. My study is based on the contributions of Women's Studies, especially those derived from poststructuralist'sviews.
