Isla Canela is located in the municipality of Palmas (TO, Brazil). Fruit of the formation of the lake of the Luiz Eduardo Magalhães hydroelectric power plant. The island has one of the most beautiful fluvial beaches in the municipality of Palmas. It is worth noting that it was artificially constructed. Cinnamon Island was the object of study and reference for the analysis of this research work. Thus the present work aims to outline the socioeconomic profile of visitors who attended Isla Canela during the months of January and February of the year 2019. The information was obtained through which questionnaires together to the regulators. It will also analyze what should be characterized as ecotourism and the characteristics of the same present in Canela Island, and one of them is if the site is appropriate for this form of tourism and if the activities present in this territory help to identify whether it is typical of this economic activity.||A Ilha Canela é situada no município de Palmas (TO). Fruto da formação do lago da Usina Hidrelétrica Luiz Eduardo Magalhães. A ilha possui uma das mais belas praias fluviais do município de Palmas. Cabe destacar que ela foi construída artificialmente. A ilha Canela é que foi objeto de estudo e referência para a análise desse trabalho de pesquisa. Assim o presente trabalho visa traçar o perfil socioeconômico dos visitantes que frequentaram a Ilha Canela durante os meses de janeiro e fevereiro do ano de 2019. As informações foram obtidas através que questionários juntos aos frequentadores. Também analisará o que deve ser caracterizado como ecoturismo e as características do mesmo presente na ilha Canela, sendo que um deles é se o local é apropriado para essa forma de turismo e se as atividades presentes nesse território ajudam a identificar se é típica dessa atividade econômica.
