The article intents to think parts of the territorial formation´s process of today´s Mato Grosso do Sul through the dialogue with the memorialistic book A Poeira da Jornada: Memórias (1980), written by Demosthenes Martins. This discursive interpretation is useful because it allows to understand how do a social group -represented by the book´s writter - thought forms/contents that spatiality showed before and during a period of time (1964-1979) of the Military Regime in Brazil.

The article intents to think parts of the territorial formation´s process of today´s Mato Grosso do Sul through the dialogue with the memorialistic book A Poeira da Jornada: Memórias (1980), written by Demosthenes Martins. This discursive interpretation is useful because it allows to understand how do a social group -represented by the book´s writter - thought forms/contents that spatiality showed before and during a period of time (1964-1979) of the Military Regime in Brazil.||Busca-se pensar partes do processo de formação territorial do hoje Mato Grosso do Sul através do diálogo com a obra memorialística A Poeira da Jornada: memórias (1980), escrita por Demosthenes Martins. A presente interpretação discursiva apresenta-se profícua por possibilitar entender como determinado grupo social - representado pelo autor das referidas memórias - pensou as formas/os conteúdos com que a espacialidade se apresentou antes e durante um período (1964-1979) do Regime Militar brasileiro.
