Construção de narrativas pictóricas: velar / desvelar, foi um projeto de pesquisa esenvolvido entre agosto de 2013 e agosto de 2014 que consistiu na representação pictórica de alguns objetos oriundos do ambiente doméstico, especialmente do banheiro: antigos cabides e saboneteiras. A ideia inicial era explorar o brilho oferecido pela superfície desses objetos para retomar algumas noções e conceitos básicos na prática da pintura. Esse exercício levou-me a realizar a mesma pintura repetidas vezes. Inicialmente, essas pinturas dão a impressão de serem iguais, no entanto, uma observação mais atenta revela as diferenças sutis que existem entre cada pintura, o que requer um olhar mais lento e contemplativo, em oposição à imediaticidade da maioria das imagens no nosso entorno cotidiano. PICTORIAL NARRATIVES: VEILING/UNVEILINGAbstract: Constructing pictorial narratives: veiling / unveiling was a research project developed between July 2013 and June 2014. It started as a pictorial representation of some domestic objects, especially objects from the bathroom: vintage hooks and soap dishes. The idea was to use the shining plain surfaces found in these objects to return to some basic painting notions and concepts. This exercise guided me into painting the same painting repeatedly. At first, the paintings seemed all the same, however the subtle differences among them unveiled the direction to the next one, which required a different quality in the act of looking at the painting, being it slow and contemplative, instead of the immediacy of the act of looking required by the images that surround us daily.
