Starting from the principle that women are usually considered predominantly emotional beings and based on the analysis of a feminine magazine article as well as in the postulates of the Theory of Argument, this communication aims to demonstrate the remarkable presence of rationality in this type of publication and its argumentative effectiveness.||Partindo do princípio de que, em geral, a mulher é considerada um ser predominantemente emocional, a partir da análise de um artigo de revista feminina, pautada nos postulados da Teoria da Argumentação, esta comunicação objetiva demonstrar a presença marcante da racionalidade neste tipo de publicação, assim como sua eficácia argumentativa.
