By the middle of the Sixties Calvino opens a new path for his fiction, by creating a new literary subgenre: the cosmicomics. From then on a new scientific dimension is incorporated to his writing, and the science becomes a new pretext to an old challenge: express the world’s multiplicity through the word’s exactitude.||Em torno da metade dos anos sessenta, Calvino envereda por uma nova trilha no âmbito de sua ficção, inaugurando um novo subgênero literário todo seu: as cosmicômicas. Desde então uma nova dimensão científica incorpora-se a sua escrita, e a ciência torna-se novo pretexto para o antigo desafio de exprimir no texto literário a multiplicidade do mundo através da exatidão da palavra.
